中国驻孟加拉国大使姚文说，帕德玛大桥铁路连接线是中孟经贸合作的典范。明年是中孟建交50周年，中方愿意继续尽其所能支持孟发展，与孟方携手推进铁路等基础设施建设领域合作。中方将继续鼓励中资企业在孟深耕奉献，助孟实现产业升级和出口多元化。
帕德玛大桥铁路连接线项目由中国中铁股份有限公司承建，2023年10月首通段开通运行。

The Padma Bridge railway connection line the largest railway project in Bangladesh constructed by a Chinese enterprise has recently been fully opened and officially put into operation. 
As the landmark the Belt and Road co construction project this railway known locally as the Dream Road is about 170 kilometers long. After opening the travel time from the capital Dhaka to the southwestern city of Jessore will be reduced from the original 10 hours to 3 hours. At the same time the railway will effectively promote the economic development of the areas along the line. 
The relevant person in charge of the Bangladesh Railway Department said that the commercial operation of the railway not only marks the opening of a new line but also opens a new chapter in the history of Bangladeshs railway development. 
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen said that the Padma Bridge railway connection line is a model of economic and trade cooperation between China and Bangladesh. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh. China is willing to continue to do its best to support Bangladeshs development and work together with Bangladesh to promote cooperation in infrastructure construction such as railways. China will continue to encourage Chinese enterprises to deeply cultivate and contribute in Bangladesh helping Bangladesh achieve industrial upgrading and export diversification. 
The Padma Bridge Railway Connection Line Project is constructed by China Railway Group Limited and the first section will be put into operation in October 2023.
