Key message for UK visitor visa applicants in China
We expect demand for UK visas to be extremely high so travellers are encouraged to plan their journey well in advance and to submit their applications early.
Applications for visitor visas can be submitted up to 3 months before the intended date of travel. We urge travellers to avoid booking flights and accommodations until they receive a decision on their visa applications.
Once you have been fingerprinted, you will be notified by email when your passport is ready for collection. You can also track the status of your visa applications on our website. We strongly recommend that you wait for confirmation that your passport is ready for collection before visiting a Visa Application Centre.
